This wonderful and rare Vintage Morton's Salt Girl String Holder is made of chalk and measures 9" in height. It lists in the 2006 Schroeder's Antiques Price Guide on page 513 for $895.00. It was produced most likely in the 1950's and is incised on the bottom with, "Morton Salt Company, Chicago, Illinois". It is in very good to excellent condition - having all of it's orignal paint with only minor crazing. In all the year that I have been collecting string holders I have only see a very few of these - then only at antiques shows or when I purchased a Morton Salt memorabilia collection in Grand Saline, Texas.
