This sensational and very rare Little Black Sambo Riding an Elephant Salt & Pepper Shaker Set is from the 1940's and is a total of 5 1/2" tall. The elphant shaker is stamped on the bottom with, "Banana Importing Company, New York, NY". The elephant shaker also has the original foil sticker reading, "Made in Japan". This set is not a reproduction but is an original! It is in excellent condition - having no chips, cracks (or hairlines) or repairs.
